Ben Fine of the Fairfield University has made several contributions to Combinatorial Group Theory, Algebraic Cryptography, Number Theory and Statistics and to the interactions between these areas. Along the way he has worked with a tremendous number of people.
A conference in honor of his sixtieth birthday will be held October 10, 2008 at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. This will be an opportunity to both honor Prof. Fine and to bring together workers from these disciplines. The main speakers will be primarily people who worked directly with Ben Fine.
The conference will be held at Canisius Hall, room 106. The conference dinner will be held the evening of October 10 at the Dolan School of Business, Dining Room.
Fairfield University is located on a campus about 45 miles from New York City and 30 miles from New Haven. It is easy to reach from all New York airports.
