Contents: The course consists of two parts. First we study material laws for solids from first principles and explain the laws of motion with an emphasis on elastic and inelastic materials. The second part will center around convexity and microstructure.
Literature: A list of books will be given in the first lecture.
Language: German or English, depending on the audience.
Required: Vector calculus resp. Analysis II and III. Background knowledge on PDE's, physics, mechanics and functional analysis is useful, but not necessary.
